Laufen Presents HGK Student Collaboration in LDF
Last month, at the London Design Fair (formerly known as TENT London), Laufen joined forces with the Design Prize Switzerland to present the best and brightest Swiss designs. The bathroom specialist exhibited experimental projects by students at the Academy of Art and Design Basel/Switzerland (HGK).
For the exhibition in the newly added top-floor space of the Old Truman Brewery, Laufen invited HGK students to explore the potential of SaphirKeramik. Launched in 2013, the revolutionary material offers greater strength in a slimmer profile. The best designs were subsequently selected by jurors, including renowned designers Konstantin Grcic and Toan Nguyen. Thus, the presentation in London also included pieces from the VAL collection, designed by the former.
