Every year, Rhode Island School of Design invites the greater design community to a curated weekend of programming. As an annual feature, RISD Craft held its alumni showcase on 8 October, celebrating various graduates from art and design programmes. This year, the juried sales exhibition featured work in a range of materials and scales.

Annina Major‘s ceramics takes on forms that respond to her ‘oceanic upbringing.’ Inspired by her native Bahamas, these designs exude an intricate balance of material and experience. Also working in clay, Iggy Choi‘s sculptures reveal what he calls “inspiration only Billie Holiday could provide.” Blending formal and technical aspirations, the designer’s work demonstrates a delicate balance in composition. Among furniture highlight, Greycork presented a flat-pack room set with modern, clean-lined attributes. On the heavier side, visitors could come across Nest Homewares, exemplifying mastery in metal and wood work.
