A’ Design Awards & Competition – Last Call for Entries
A’ Design Awards is the world’s largest industry accolade. The platform works to advertise and advocate good design in a range of disciplines and applications: everything from interior design to the crafts. A wide array of categories include Good Industrial Design Award, Good Architecture Design Award, Good Product Design Award, Good Communication Design Award, Good Service Design Award, Good Fashion Design Award and many more. In this light, A’ Design seeks to celebrate work that demonstrates how art can shape the future. A fair review process furthers this mandate. Entries will be judged by an international jury panel of scholars, professionals and media members. The platform brings together the world of practitioners, buyers, critics and journalists. With such exposure, winners are given a well-deserved professional boost. Additional benefits include an exhibition, inclusion in a yearbook, public relations, publicity, a world design ranking, participation at an annual gala, new business contacts, score sheets, exclusive

Eyes, moons, and cats drift through the carpets of Christoph Hefti, where dreamscapes and masked creatures share the same woven surface. The Swiss textile designer is the subject of The Missing Cat and Other Textile Stories, a large-scale solo show at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. These are the final weeks to apply for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027. Applications for the 10th anniversary edition of the prize will be accepted until October 15, 2027.
“The work of the ten selected participating designers this year carry forms of tacit, sometimes esoteric knowledge – knowledge embedded in the hand, the body and the material itself,” write Christian and Jade, curators of The Mindcraft Exhibition, which opens on September 23, 2026. The 2nd edition of Craft x Tech was presented at the V&A during London Design Festival 2026, and featured six new collaborations pairing Tokai artisans with international designers and artists. Together, they explored new creative possibilities and produced contemporary works that celebrate the continuing relevance of traditional craftsmanship.
