Brand New World curated by Vesna & Jovan Jelovac of Belgrade Design Week

Brand New World is delighted to announce a new exciting edition to the Milan landscape during Fuorisalone. This exhibtion will showcase new pieces by international practices Studio Drift, Tom Strala, Studio Appetit, Adrien Rovero, Buro Belen, Reinier Bosche, Carolina Wilcke and Ilan Garibi. at the Dušan showroom from 14 to 19 April. Held in one of the most elegant venues in the city, The event will bring together eight key studios – brands and exhibitors – that each epitomise the new concept of “designers/makers/entrepreneurs” – rethinking the entire business and creative model.

“We are very excited to recreate the idea of a classical author’s salon at Dušan’s fashionable showroom, with works and the spirit matching his own terribly high couture propositions. After all, the name is Saloni, not another Design Week, and the city is none less than Milano, so we are speaking of rarefied class, deeply rooted in both cutting edge avant-garde, as well as laser sharp craftsmanship. The location is smack in the middle of town, in one of the legendary Gio Ponti buildings, on the border of Brera and the new up- and coming San Gregorio area, which our friends from Wallpaper, Droog Design and Kvadrat, among others, have so beautifully opened for international design now. Belgrade Design Week founders, TLmag partners and design forecasters Vesna and Jovan Jelovac are true rarity in the world of festivals – as a non-profit event, Belgrade Design Week is the first festival Serbian and Southeastern European creative industry event. This year, they are curating the Brand New World exhibition 2015, which is powered by Laufen and will take place at Dušan showroom in Milan from 14 to 19 April 2015.
