Heidi Bjørgan (b. 1970) is a ceramicist and collector. Overlooked objects, a lamp, an old bread tin with an interesting shape or knick-knacks of low monetary value, discarded as trash or found at a car boot sale: she collects it all. She gives these forms a second chance in a new guise and context, sometimes even creating a new function. As a ceramicist, her aim is to explore, through sampling and remaking, the aesthetic potential of the shapes of these recreated objects.
