The Swedish Institute in Paris presents “Blazing Grace” a group exhibition of five leading glass artists whose work is reframing the legacy Swedish Grace movement and blazing a new future in Swedish glass. The exhibition is on view between September 3-September 21, 2025.

The fall art season kicks off on September 4th with the opening of RendezVous – Brussels Art Week, a citywide initiative that brings together galleries, museums, artist studios, auction houses and more, highlighting the city’s diverse and dynamic art and culture scene.

Viúva Lamego is an icon of Portuguese ceramic traditions and after 175 years, is managing to lead the way with contemporary collaborations, from the tiled roof on Kengo Kuma’s design for the Gulbenkian Museum to Joana Vasconcelos’s wild ‘Wedding Cake’ at the Rothschild Foundation.

During Lisbon Design Week, Oficina Marques partnered with Spacegram Studios and the heritage ceramics company Viúva Lamego, to present “Arcádia,” a joyful, contemplative temple-like structure that was adorned with a new collection of handcrafted tiles that are inspired by the botanical world.

Together with a group of students from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, Dr. Niklas Maak helped develop a prototype of tiny home housing for refugees living in Frankfurt. He wrote about the experience and the tiny home movement for our 2024 print issue: TLmag40: The Ideal Home.

The Vitra Design Museum presents “The Shakers: A World in the Making”, an engaging and comprehensive exhibition around this unique American design style that also examines what possibilities its values offer us today. The exhibition is on view through September 28th, 2025.

Willie Morlon received the Grand Prize of the Jury Van Cleef & Arpels in Toulon for the Design Parade Toulon, 2024. This summer, Morlon presents Wunder Haus, a dedicated exhibition as part of the 2025 Design Parade Toulon.
