La Cité du Design was inaugurated in 2009 on the former site of the arms factory of Saint-Etienne, in the heart of creative neighborhood Manufacture Plaine Achille. It is now leading the European program called Human CitiesHuman Cities. It aims to design a tool for innovation, anticipation and forecasting at the service of economic players, businesses and institutions.
