On May 20, Sammy Baloji was awarded a special mention in the Venice Architecture Biennale for his three-chapter project in collaboration with Twenty Nine Studio, which addresses the dematerialisation of the landscape and the delocalisation of precolonial social systems through colonial action. TLmag invited Tomás Libertíny to create a carte blanche portfolio for the A/W 2022 issue: TLmag38: Origin. Shoji Fabrics, a new collection of transparent fabrics that includes 16 variations in two types: ‘Diaphanous’ and ‘Essence’, designed by Mae Engelgeer in collaboration with the House of Hosoo, launched during Milan Design Week along with the opening of the Hosoo Milan showroom. This collection is part of an ongoing collaboration between the artist and heritage brand.

For TLmag38: Origins, Laura Daza Carreno wrote about the archaeology of colour and applying the study of ancient colourants and the knowledge of traditional colour making to better understand human evolution.

Spazio Nobile Gallery presents “Super Specimens: Sensations of the Extraordinary,” an exhibition of new work by photographer Vincent Fournier. This will be Fournier’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition is on view from April 28th through July 20th, 2023.

OMG-GMO is a new collection of hand painted ceramic fruit by Paris-based designer Robert Stadler in collaboration with Italian ceramic company Bitossi. The work was featured at Carwan Gallery in Milan during Milan Design Week.

Hauser & Wirth Menorca opens their 2023 season with “After the Mediterranean”, a poignant and powerful exhibition curated by Oriol Fontdevila and featuring seven international artists whose work explores the social and ecological challenges affecting the region. On view through October 29th, 2023.

On April 15th, the Fondation Thalie in Brussels presents, Eva Jospin: Panorama, an intricate, large scale installation that invites viewers to take a poetic stroll through her sculptural work between fragments of landscapes and fantastical architectural elements. To mark the event, we are re-publishing an interview with Jospin that was first featured in 2021.
